I know this is two updates in one day, but it’s Christmas, yeah? A time for flying fists of fury, for hurried hot-dogs of happiness, burning bacon of Bermondsey. A time for remixes of Christmas singles the size of a bottle of coca cola… FROM THE PERSPECTIVE OF MY FRIEND PETE TAYLOR (son of Roger Taylor from Queen, once spent £500 on Jamster Ringtones) WHO IS VERY SMALL, THUS MAKING THE COMPARISON WORTHY OF NOTE.
The remix is an advent exclusive on the sensual blog Never Enough Notes which covers antelope lingerie and good music, mostly focusing on the latter these days due to a drop off in demand in the former after the Cuban Missile Crisis.
CZECH IT RIGHT OUT RIGHT HERE RIGHT NOCTURNAL!
You can download it now and feel like a robotic elf on the bus, which is definitely the number one wish of most seven year olds this decade according to The Internet.com.
As part of the Neon Blink single release we’ve got another taster for you in the form of Sizeable Moth Hat’s remix.
If you like Myspace, then you can go over there to give it a listen, or alternatively you can just use the player below. Enjoy.
Last year, I was asked by (some) of Skyline Dossier to have a go at recording a vocal track for one of their songs (7″ Swing). It was a bit ambiguous as to whether this was for ideas for their regular vocalist Dan, or whether it was some potential for a guest spot, but as I’d just finished recording the backing to Don’t: Wait, I thought I’d give it a go. The result is an ideas track of sorts which I sent over to them to see if they liked it or wanted to do anything with it. Months later and I still haven’t heard anything definitive from them, so I figured I’d just chuck it online for other people to have a listen to, at least until they complain and ask me to take it down. The quality is a bit sketchy as I’d assumed there’d be more of a collaboration from this point, making this a first draft but as that never worked out, I might as well chuck it out there.

We meant to get it all done and wrapped up today, but unfortunately only got to spend 7 hours on it in the end. Will tie up the loose ends during the week. The bulk of it’s done, but still no vocals on the second verse. Thanks to Lloyd from Skyline Dossier & Bryony Burrows for lending their vocals to the track. It’s a little different for us, the clue should come from the working title FantasyLand (Xmas In The Terror Zone). Watch this space.
